Gillian Pearson is a painter and printmaker living in Vancouver, BC. She is an Active Member with the Federation of Canadian Artists, and her work has shown and sold in a number of BC galleries.
Drawing on both landscape and figure, Gillian experiments with line, colour and texture, using varied mediums and styles. Her work aims to express a mood or evoke a memory, and draws from her photos, plein air sketches or imagination. She usually has too many projects on the go at once, and considers every piece a part of art "practice", a stepping-stone to the next.
Gillian works in visual effects in the film and television industry, and as an art instructor. Her weekend campervan travels create inspiration for art and painting.
